You can attend language school to learn vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. In this setting, learning is progressive – you can start with the basics and move to intermediate and advanced courses later, at the pace that your language instructor deems appropriate. This is a good way to learn French quickly because you would have ample opportunity for practice – after all, you have classmates and a teacher to speak in French with.

There are probably reasonably-priced French classes at your community education centers. Another option is to work on your vocabulary through online lessons. You would have to learn without the assistance of a language instructor but you’d at least be able to study on your own time, in your own home and at your own pace.

Another way for you to learn French quickly is by visiting online forums. There are a lot of online community forums where you can read, post and exchange messages in French. Read French:

Read French articles. They are all over – newspapers, magazines and even online resources. Take note of or underline words that you do not understand yet and look them up later, or even as you go along. You can also watch movies and television shows. These can help you learn French quickly because the subtitles can help you understand and remember some words. And let’s face it, you would hardly understand a thing, especially if you are a beginner, but it would at least let you get used to the rhythm and patterns of French speech.

Most of all, have fun while doing all these. Trying to learn French quickly will not be all that hard when you start thinking of it as anything other than a chore.
